 Pencil Post Bed with CanopyThe Pencil Post is a graceful bed with tall corner posts and flat canopy. The pencil post name refers to the tapered, chamfered, octagonal shape of the corner posts. Sleeping in a bed with curtain was common in earlier times since it conserved warmth. The simple lines of this bed make it equally hadsome draped or undraped. Solid three-inch stock is used for the bedposts. At the square, the post measures a finished 2-5/8". Beds have hand-cut mortise and tenon joinings at the corners, so strong they are guaranteed for life. The height with the flat canopy is 80". Please specify size and wood type.
